Curtains are the most popular choice of window treatments because they offer a great decorative theme to your bathroom. These come in a variety of colors and styles as well as designs. Panel curtains have two layers to them. The bottom layer is a sheer curtain that stays closed at all times and helps to bring in a little bit of natural sunlight.
The top layer is a much thicker curtain that is usually pulled to one or both sides. The top layer is what will match with the them of the room and is usually left open at all times. However, if you feel that you need more privacy you do have the option to close them. Curtains can cost anywhere between $20 to $50 and can be made with a variety of materials. Cotton is the most common because it is thick and easy to keep clean.
Blinds are another common choice to use and are still helpful at letting in natural sunlight – but are easier when you need privacy. The cheapest choice would be to use the standard mini blinds. However, these are flimsy, easily broken, and some of the worst to try to clean.
Instead try to find something that has a better appearance to it and is easier to use. Basswood blinds r any type of wood blinds are more expensive – but they are so much better to use. They are made with high quality wood in either light or dark colors to help contrast the look of the window. Cleaning them is easy enough to do as long as you do it on a regular basis and keep the dust from becoming caked on.
Shades are used in certain bathrooms and are made using either thick fabric or bamboo. These are a thin sheet that can be pulled down to cover the window and then raised back up when you need some natural sunlight. While they are not that expensive they can be a pain to use and keep you from having to constantly open and close them.
