There are various causes of infertility in women. Though it is a condition that is very prevalent nowadays, its symptoms are not as obvious. Only through intense tests and procedures can one prove that they are infertile. Infertility in men is a lot harder to spot, unless such symptoms as erectile dysfunction are present since they are obvious. Nevertheless, the causes of infertility in both men and women are different.
One of the most common causes of female infertility is presumably the pelvic inflammatory disease. This is the internal bacterial infection of the female reproductive organs. The infection affects the organs that are closest to the pelvic area. However, if the infection is severe, other body tissues and organs such as the intestines may be affected. This disease causes infertility if the infection gets to the fallopian tubes. When these tubes are infected, the condition is medically referred to as salpingitis.
Another cause of infertility in women is called endometriosis. It is a serious condition whose characteristic cause is the endometrial tissue’s presence outside the uterus. This tissue is commonly discharged during the menses although it grows back to prepare for the next menses. Though not really associated with infertility, it can easily lead to infections.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a condition that is evidenced by a lot of the male androgens in the female’s body. These androgens reduce the release of other female hormones such as the luteinizing hormone or the follicle stimulating hormone. These hormones are involved in the production and maturation of the ova. Absence of mature ova during ovulation translates to infertility. see also : What Are Amino Acids
The premature ovarian failure, commonly called the early menopause, is also one of the common causes of infertility. This is a condition whereby the irregularity of the menses over long periods of time is apparent. It occurs to women under the age of forty and is caused by premature reduction of the follicles in young women. This is a condition that exhibits the menopause signs since it also causes the obstruction of the ova.
Idiopathic hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism is the presumable absolute absence of the hormones responsible for the proper development of the ova such as the luteinizing hormone. This is an infertility condition that is rare and it doesn’t have any symptoms that can physically prove its presence. There can be millions of infertility causes which may or may not have remedies. However, most of the causes of infertility actually have no remedy or cure. see also : Fish During Pregnancy Bacteria in Foods There Are Safer Choices
