Health Benefits of Juicing

What are the Benefits of Juicing? This answer to this question is easy for me. The main benefits of juicing with a juicer, and even a juicing diet are taste, health, nutrition, cleansing, convenience and fun. Most of all, I love juicer or fruit juice juicing. For me that is the top of the juicing benefits. That is on top of all the health benefits of juicing or a juicing diet, the nutrition benefits of juicing, the convenience, the spirit, the freshness, the color, texture, taste, on top of all that, it is enjoyable fun – selecting the juicer ingredients, juicing them, and of course drinking up. see also : Health Benefits Of Yoga

Now, you can juice in a fancy full featured automated powerful juicer and get lots and lots of use and nutritional kick from it, but that is not necessary. All you need to get started juicing and have more access to the vitamins and minerals of fresh fruits and vegetables really is a hand juicer or even a blender. Using a blender can work for starters, although for tougher vegetables, you wouldn’t really want to risk wearing out the blender on them. Regardless of the method, if you squeeze or extract the juice, you can start to achieve the health benefits of juicing. Many people enjoy a juicing diet, juicing detox or making juicing a part of a dieting regimen.

So, now let’s delve into the details of the benefits of juicing. First of all, what is it? Juicing refers to the process or procedure of squeezing juice from a vegetable or fruit, attaining the juicing benefits. You just put the vegetable or fruit to be juiced in to the juicer and you get a juice of varying texture and viscosity depending on what you juiced. You always can add water or apple juice to thin it out too. I recently tried coconut juice and that was tasty.

Another one of the juicing benefits is that juice extraction and also pulpifying are ways to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables, garner all the nutritional or health benefits of juice from them, but not have actually to eat the fruit or vegetable whole or sliced. That can be of benefit to children who may think they dislike a vegetable, but vegetable juice of all sorts, mixed with extracted fruit juice can be a delicious cool sweet childrens drink. Likewise for others, just drinking the vegetable juice or fruit juice or combination can be quite enjoyable and preferable over the particular item. For people with jaw or teeth pain or dental issues or concerns of all sorts, juicing can be a wonderful addition to the diet. see also : Health Benefits Of Sea Salt

The bottom line is that virtually any fruit or vegetable can be used to have a benefit of juicing. After all the benefits of juicing are attained from the particular ones selected. One of the great health benefits of juicing is that it can yield a concentrated serving of them, after all, it is a whole lot easier to drink a juiced veggie than it is to eat it, and you can drink more and more quickly. So among the juicing benefits is to gain concentrated servings of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients normally found in the particular fruit or vegetable juiced. For example, juicing carrots in a juicer yields the benefits of carrots, especially fiber and vitamin A of course. Or, juicing oranges yields the juicing benefits of oranges, such as vitamin C and antioxidants. So in addition to the vitamins and minerals, the health benefits of juicing also entail antioxidants, phytochemicals and so on. Here is a partial list of fruits and vegetables I have tried for juicing benefits: all citrus – oranges, grapefruit, lemons, tangerines, limes – cucumber, tomato, potato, wheat grass, parsley, lettuce, beets, cabbage, broccoli (ugh), watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, dandelion, celery, carrots, mangoes, papaya, cranberry, pineapple (favorite), grapes, apples, papaya …

One of the side benefits of juicing is that you pulpify the vegetable or fruit. In other words, the solids that remain after the juice is squeezed or extracted is pulp. The pulp contains many of the dietary nutrients. Some people like a pulpy juice where the solids are suspended by mixing, and that way the pulp nutrients can be consumed. Others like to take the pulp and use it as a cooking recipe ingredient, such as in baking, such as baking muffins or rolls. Others use the pulp for animal feed, pet food or even to compost for the benefits of plants. One difference between a traditional juicer and a blender is that using a blender, the pulp is mixed in with the juice, whereas with a juicer most of the pulp is separated out. However, for some juicing benefits, some people mix in some or all of the pulp after juicing, such as using a blender. There is no right way or wrong way of juicing from our point of view – just what you enjoy and meets our diet nutritional goals and desires.

Different techniques used in juicers include squeezing, such as squeezing oranges, grapefruits and other fruits, pressing, extracting and so on. Among the brands of juicers, pressers and squeezers are Breville, Omega, Hamilton Beach, Waring, Black & Decker, Jack LaLane, Tribest, Oster, Health Master, Cuisinart, JuiceMan, Champion, Olympus, GreenStar, Sharper Image, Kalorick, DeLonghi, Acme, Samson and West Bend. In juicing, a juice extractor is a type of juicer that yields the benefits of juicing for tougher vegetables, but also any others and fruits as well. Technically speaking it separates out the pulp from the juice. Another type of juicer is a citrus juicer. Using my citrus juicer, I cut the orange, grapefruit or lemon in half, then put the half in the juicer, press down with the handle, which activates the motor and the rotating juicing head. The juice passes through a strainer that collects pulp and flows out a spout into a juicer cup. Usually I juice a dozen oranges or more at a time, so as a cup gets filled, I pour the juice into a pitcher.

There are lots of juicing recipes available that can yield the benefits of juicing. Here are a couple that I like:

First, select the fruits and vegetables called for in the recipe. Always wash them before juicing. Sometimes I may peel and that is a matter of point of view. Some people advocate going organic to attain the most health benefit of juicing.
